Ireland 47-5 Samoa: Johnny Sexton stars to clinch Rugby World Cup quarter-final spot

Ireland survived the sending to clinch their place in the Rugby World Cup quarter-finals using a 47-5 triumph over Samoa.
Rory Best and Tadhg Furlong scored tries in the opening nine minutes, using fly-half Johnny Sexton crossing to bag the bonus point.
Ireland played with 52 minutes with 14 men after Aki had been red-carded for a tackle on Samoa fly-half UJ Seuteni.
But attempts from CJ Stander Jordan Larmour and Andrew Conway ensured the win was not under threat and secured Joe Schmidts men a quarter-final against South Africa or New Zealand.
